BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate

BTEC Applied Science provides a specialist work related qualification for the science sector and is equivalent to one A Level. You will develop your scientific practical skills and knowledge. The following units are studied: 

• Principals and Application of Science I 

• Practical Scientific Procedures and Techniques 

• Science Investigation Skills 

One additional unit is also studied.

Where Next 

You could go straight into employment, for example, as a lab technician or progress onto a vocational, science based degree programme such as nursing or applied science.
